AnchorPoint Accounting Systems is an outsourced accounting firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. This notice covers the website only. Information handled inside a client engagement is governed by the engagement agreement.

What this site collects

There are two ways you send information to AnchorPoint through this site, and both are ones you start yourself. Measurement tools that run in the background are described further down.

The contact form. First name, last name, email address, telephone number, business name, the service you select, and the description you write. Submissions are processed by Netlify Forms, the hosting provider for this site, and delivered to AnchorPoint by email.
Appointment scheduling. The scheduling buttons open Calendly, a third party service. Anything you enter there is collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy and shared with AnchorPoint so the appointment can be held.

Analytics and advertising measurement. This site also loads a small number of third-party measurement tools, which set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and collect information about your visit such as the pages viewed, the approximate location derived from your network address, the device and browser used, and, where a session recording tool is active, how you scroll and move through a page. Whether typed form contents are excluded from session recordings depends on the recording tool's configuration; do not enter sensitive information in the form in any case. The tools currently in use are Google Analytics (Google LLC), Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.), Vibe (Vibe.co), and Hotjar by Contentsquare. Each provider processes that information under its own privacy policy, and the advertising tools may use it to measure whether an advertisement led to a visit. You can limit this collection by declining cookies in your browser, by using a browser extension that blocks trackers, or through the opt-out mechanisms each provider publishes. The hosting provider also keeps standard server request logs, as any web host does.

Please do not send sensitive information

The inquiry form is not a secure channel. Do not include passwords, bank or credit card account numbers, Social Security or EIN numbers, tax documents, or payroll records in it. Describe the situation in general terms and secure arrangements for documents and system access will be made once an engagement begins.

How the information is used

Only to respond to your inquiry, to hold a scheduled conversation, and to discuss whether AnchorPoint is a fit for your business. Inquiries are answered within one business day.

Your information is not sold, rented, or traded. Information you submit through the form or through Calendly is not used for advertising and is not shared with anyone beyond the service providers named above, except where the law requires it. The measurement tools described above receive only the browsing information they collect themselves, never the contents of your form submission.

How long it is kept

Inquiry correspondence is retained while a conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you get back in touch. Ask and it will be deleted.

Your requests

Write to info@anchorpointaccountingsystems.com to ask what information is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Requests are answered within a reasonable period.
